{04.08.2008} Miss Cori Lee

Before leaving Alabama I had a promised photo shoot with Miss Cori. She was looking for spring pictures, but we got dirty downtown Prattville instead!

{04.07.2008} No Bull.

Claire and I started her birthday Monday by running cows out of their own pasture...not intentionally, I just wanted to say HI! After going through the weeds (which I was told to watch for snakes), loosing a shoe in the muck (that was Claire), and over a fence (I got stuck and needed rescuing) we got some great shots. This was all pre-coffee.

Aren't these calf's adorable?
The rest of the day was spent in Montgomery seeing the sites, dining, and watching the kids play in the cities splash pad. Vacation.

{04.06.2008} Downtown Prattville, AL

This is definitely not Grand Rapids...but it was fun to get out with Claire, wander the streets, chat, and play a bit.

(04.06.2008} Shakespeare Park & Friends

Is this not the picture of what summer is all about? Bare legs and pink flip flops.
This is my first hand-picked flower of 2008. My kids love picking flowers, and I love receiving them...even the dandelions.
We met up with old friends today! All boys vs. Nyla. As you can see she's got control. You KNOW I was tempted, but I needed to set a good example. If my kids (and husband) weren't around you know I would have. The picture below is, I think, a catfish. I thought we were feeding the ducks...I was wrong.lol
Spiderman Cole.
A Shakespeare Park they have a children's museum. I got to play too!

{04.05.2008} My man Luke turned ONE!

Saturday we celebrated Luke turning one. Luke is my best friend, Claire's, little man. Presents were the beginning of the party. We had two three year olds and a five year old not so patiently waiting to see what was under all of that colorful paper. Luke preferred the ribbon. (I think ribbon is more fun too!)
This is big brother Cole ready to jump in and help at moments notice. The experience of eating that first piece of cake should be a disaster. Apparently Luke missed that memo. This is a "no bath required" child.
I'm afraid the next time I see this little man he will be running around the house in his big brothers shadow wearing nothing but his firetruck underwear and a superhero cape. :sniff sniff:
